Social Justice

We Unitarian Universalists have good news to share with the world. We have news the world sorely needs to hear. Our news is that each and every person is precious beyond measure, good beyond question, lovable, and inescapably loved by the universe. Our good news is that we are connected, in ways we may never fully understand, to each other, to our communities, and ultimately to the universe.
That’s our good news and we need to shout it from the roof tops, because our good news is a message of real hope for this bruised and hurting world. In fact, our message of hope can ultimately lift up justice.
We hold that every person is precious, then we must work for justice for every person. If we believe that we are all connected within an interdependent web of existence, if one person is treated unjustly, then we are all treated unjustly; if the earth is polluted, then we are all polluted; if one nation is at war, then we are all at war. Conversely, every tiny step we take toward making the world a better place makes a difference to the entire world.
Our ministry of social justice is our faith in practice.
