Photo, Event and Video Submission Guidelines

Photos

Photos posted or submitted for inclusion on the ESUC Facebook page must meet the following guidelines:

  • Be affiliated with an ESUC ministry team, committee, or church-sanctioned event. Examples of acceptable photos might include: the ESUC auction, a ministry team doing volunteer or social justice work, a Chalice Players production, the Salmon Bake, etc.

  • Be affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association or a UUA-affiliated congregation.

  • If photos have pictures of minors under the age of 18, written parent permission must be given before posting to the Facebook page. Photo Release Forms are available in the East Shore office, or to download a copy, click here.

  • Photos from UUA-sanctioned or affiliated ministries.

  • Photos are consistent with the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.

Videos

Videos posted or submitted for inclusion on the ESUC FB page must meet the following guidelines:

  • Must be affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association or a Unitarian Universalist-affiliated congregation. Examples might include: It Gets Better Project videos created by the UUA or a UUA-affiliated congregation; Standing on the Side of Love videos; Living Our Faith videos; promotional or marketing videos created by the UUA or a UUA-affiliated congregation.

  • Videos pertaining to issues of spirituality, faith development, or social justice (including GBLTQ rights, anti-racism, environmental justice, homelessness, etc.) that are positive or pro-active in tone/message.

  • Videos must not feature images of violence, sexual acts or exploitation, or crude/foul language; and must be acceptable for all ages to view.

  • Videos are consistent with the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism

ESUC Facebook Page Administrators reserve the right to remove any photo or video that does not meet the above guidelines.

Events

To create an Event “page” for marketing or RSVP purposes, the following information must be submitted by the time deadline listed below.

  • Name of Event.

  • Date & Time of Event.

  • Contact Person for Event, including name, phone number, and email.

  • Location of Event.

  • Brief, thorough Description of Event.

  • Cost of admission, or suggested donation price.

  • Event must be sponsored either by East Shore Unitarian Church, or an ESUC ministry team or committee.

Event information must be submitted by Sunday, minimum one week before the event. Allowing two weeks is ideal, creating more momentum for the event, and more page ‘views’.
