Wonderful Wednesday

 On the second Wednesday of every month, the entire church community is welcome to congregate for a ‘church night’ gathering.  The evening begins with social time and a hot meal. It’s a time to gather with friends and family and have some good conversation.  After dinner, there are many choices – attending an intergenerational worship, classes, committee meetings or group meetings.

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   Dinner
6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.   Worship
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.   Classes, committee meetings, and group meetings

Dinner
The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.  We ask that you make reservations for dinner in advance, so that we know how much food to make.  Please email uuwonderfulwed@hotmail.com  or call 206–333-1619 to make a reservation or ask questions.   There will also be a reservation sheet in the Adult Education binder.

The cost for dinner is $8/adult, $4/child ages 2 to 12, or $20/family.  Children under the age of 24 months are free.   The dinner can be paid by cash or check at the door.  You are more than welcome to stop by with your own dinner, drop in just to socialize, or come after dinner for the worship service, classes, and meetings.

Menus
Milk, juice, water, coffee and tea will be served with all dinners.

Volunteer
If you are interested in helping out with the dinner, we have the following volunteer tasks available.   Adults and older youth who would like to help out will receive a FREE DINNER.  To sign up in advance for a volunteer task, please email uuwonderfulwed@hotmail.com, call 206–333-1619, or sign up on the Volunteer Sheet in the Adult Education binder.. 

Help prepare food for dinner (5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Welcome team – check people off as they come and take money (5:10 p.m. – 6:10 p.m.)

Clean up kitchen, run dishwasher, put away clean dishes and wipe tables and counters (6:00 – 7:00)

Worship
From 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. there will be an intergenerational worship in the Sanctuary.

Wednesday, May 14

Batter up!     Who is on first, What is on second, and I Don’t Know is on third base.   Wear your baseball team’s favorite jersey.   We’ll have hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream bars.

The final day to make reservations is Sunday, May 11.

Wednesday, June 11

Summer vacation is coming up!   Swimming, camping trips, and hiking in the mountains.   We will have lemonade, watermelon, apple pie, and ice cream to celebrate summer.

We will also have a kids movie exchange.    If your children have outgrown Baby Einstein and Blues Clues, bring those DVDs along and exchange them for the Lion King or Beauty and the Beast.  Anyone can bring a G or PG rated family-friendly movie to exchange for another one.   

The final day to make reservations is Sunday, June 8.

July and August

Wonderful Wednesday will not take place during July and August.  

Wednesday, September 10

Wonderful Wednesday starts up again!
